    Hello guys...

What is the exact formula to obtain RGB output with elements ? [ex: (Vraydiffuse * VrayRawlighting)+vraySpec ... ]

Can someone help me with 1.5Rc2 and for 1.5.00 ?

Second question wath is the best way to obtain closer result to RGB output... 8bits is enought, 16bits or do i need to output always in 32bits each element ?

The documentation is not enought clear for me

    Please HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPPPpppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... .....

    Best regards...

The formula is right in there and it is correct.

Basically you multiply rawlight with diffuse and rawGI with diffuse.
Then you can plus all other elements over it. With the exception of rawreflection and rawrefraction wich have to be multiplied with the reflection/refraction filter. Some elements are redundant and must
not be used in conjunction (for example the reflection element is the same as raw-reflection multiplied with reflection filter). The various threads about comping renderelements contains just about every info about it you can imagine.

          Regards,
          Thorsten

If you use Photoshop you can try this http://www.chaosgroup.com/forum/phpB...ic.php?t=19626
It'll show you exactly how to do it.

No it doesn't answer my question :P

I've been searching the forum on a "guide" on how to use Render Elements. I keep stumbling onto links to topics, but since the forum was transfered to a vBulletin, the links don't work anymore.

Any tips? What elements should we use, how to blend them in Photoshop etc...

First of all, I would not recommend using PhotoShop for this purpose as you are likely to get further confused; there are other programs better suited for compositing. Second, I suppose this was the thread:

This may be a stupid question, but where exactly does one get a 'Diffuse' pass. as in, the TubA.Diffuse.0000.exr from the screenshot of the Node view in Chris's post. It doesn't seem to be available in the general list of Render Elements?

                        It's the VRayDiffuseFilter one.
