@lukx: Is backburner working in 2008? With render strips? And vray DR in backburner? I didn't think these were working in max 9...
hmm, render strips were working in 9 (there was problem before sp but then it was fixed), DR I'm not using. About render strips in 2008 I didn't yet tested it but so far it looks like the most stable max in autodesk history .
Well, I've done everything I did to get it to work on max 8 and not only will it not work, max crashes right after it renders with DR. It crashes consistantly after everything I try...not necessarily a good sign.
I'm using a scene that has no maps, my main computer and one DR computer, I've registered the spawner as a service on the DR machine and I sent a regular render job via backburner to the DR machine before attempting the DR rendering. That's pretty much how I got max 8 to work, but 2008 is not. Anyone else?
well I tested DR and it works with 2008 exept of course missing textures when using mapped drive (i'm not going to copy all the textures to all the render nodes)
I can't imagine addinng all subdirectories form texture folder manually in user paths in unc, so I just go to mapped drive I though it should work the same.
