  • Animated ISO and saved IRmaps

Never really gone about an animation like this before, but I've used Lele's fantastic Exposimeter script (for the first time) to calculate a decent ISO setting for my camera for every 50th frame of a 2500 frame animation. I was going to then use LC (flythrough mode) and Irmap (Incremental add...) to work out a solution for that camera before it is sent to Backburner for the rendering of all the frames.

I then thought, "Hang on a minute, surely I can't send a precalced solution with an animated ISO camera??? What am I thinking????"

Am I right? Is this not possible? If not, I assume I'd have to go down the new IRmap: prepass route which scares me a bit for a production animation!
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

Why not, only make sure that when you precalculate the solutions, the ISO itself is not animated, as it may influence the irradiance map calculations (there was another thread about this a few days ago). There is no problem to animate the ISO for the final renders.
