  • q for car rendering specialists (diffucsion screens)

I'm buidling few studios in 3d for rednering cars and want build it quite simmilar to real studios. I have question about difussion screens.
It's better to use vray light for them or standard plane with vraylight material or maybe just plane and in front of it spot light? In real I should make translucent material and light behind to get reall difiusion screen but I think its over kill. What do you think?

From what I remember, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. The Vray light, and vray light material work exactly the same way. The difference is that you get more options with the vray light, but you can use different light geometries with the material. (but for a plane, i would say light, not material).

now in regards to the light screen...that might be a little more physically correct, but I would think you would need to turn up the settings tremendously, since you were lighting through an object, instead from it.

The vraylight and vraylightmtl are not similar at all.
One is a proper direct light the other is a GI based light.
