  • MoBlur - Object based (pref) vs Image based

We're looking at object motion blur with the vrayphyscam but are only managing to get image-based-blur and not object-motion-based-blur.

Is there a way to do this within vray, or is this a limitation?

    Cheers
    Nik

you mean doing motion blur that you find the setting for in the object preferences? vrays camera motion blur is turned on in the vray camera itself

i have a fast moving teapot on an arc trajectory, and i'm using the vrayphyscam with a suitably slow shutter speed.

with moblur turned on in the vrayphyscam i end up with a straight line of blur instead of a curved blur as it should be since its on an arc.

i was wondering how i get the curved blur i'm after?

You need to increase the geometry samples parameter in the motion blur section of the Render Scene dialog.
