  • Weirdness in the diffuse filter.

    1) Create a plane.
    2) Create sphere on top of the plane and, if you want, throw another object touching or intersecting it.
    3) Apply different colored VRay materials to the objects
    4) Add a VRay Diffuse Filter render elelment
    5) Render
    6) Look at the diffuse image.

    Wherever two objects meet the image gets pixelated. Is this normal?

    all render elements use the sampling that is done by the renderer during beautypass. So if your beautypass is undersampled the elements are too. Chances are you dont notice it in the beautypass because of dark/non-contrasty areas.

    If you are leaving everything at default (= Adaptive subdivision AA) Try turning min/max to 0/3 instead of -1/2 and check the difference.
