  • Render elements and Split scan lines

Has anyone gotten render elements to work while using backburner to render split scan lines? I get the final image, but as far as the elements go, only the first strip is rendered.

Nope; as far as I know backburner does not support render elements for split scanline rendering.

    Best regards,

      An old question is raised.

V-Ray 2.40 and 3.0 There is still no support of Render elements and backburner Split scan lines. OK?

I'm not sure what we can do about that; it would be best to report this to Autodesk.

er i use this all the time. you just have to switch off the VFB just before rendering.

Thank you for the pointer. (off VFB)
It seems that it is working without the problem.

This does seem to work, but that's as far as I get, when the 2nd pass starts (the stitching pass) I get errors saying the node can't find the vray element matte (or which ever element there is) "STP00000_strip_test01_Matte.exr" for instance.

So basically it tries, but claims it can't find the files... though it just rendered all the strips and output the files to the same location?

              Any advice? thanks
