  • Framestamp - Imagename

I was wondering if it's possible to add in the framestamp, the name of the image that you're saving.
So if you're saving your rendered image as 2008-01-10 library, could that be added to the framestamp? Since we're using a different way of naming our files, adding the filename of the Max scene would be useless to us.

If this is possible, it'd help us alot.

Currently this is not possible, but I'll add it to the wish list.

      Thanks vlado!

While I was thinking about how I could solve this at the moment without needing to type it out with EVERY single render I make, I thought about if it would be possible to have the framestamp load information from a text file or something. Kind of like the max script string.

For example, we're thinking about using the following format:
      < yyyy-mm.#### name > so: < 2008-01.0001 library > (without the < >)

Now, say we'd make a simple .txt file with on every new line a file name, like this:

      < linenr. "filename" >
      01. 2008-01.0001 library
      02. 2008-01.0002 library

In the framestamp info, you'd enter a string like this %txt<filename&location?>-<linenr.> and vray would read the file, look for the specified linenumber and then add the name behind that linenumber as framestamp?
      %txt<renderseries&c:\documents...>-<01.>

It sounds complicated, and maybe it's not an easy way at all and would using the name of the image be alot easier. But it could be worth considering?

      -edit-
After thinking and discussing about it, I think this is a too complicated option...
