  • Exporting Sugar 3D Cars to Proxies

    Has anyone done this ?

    I am getting odd results when exporting to proxy - most methods are successful to some extent but none are fully successful.

    If I export all the geometry at once to a single object the materials get messed up - possibly due to there being the same Mat ID numbers on a few of the pieces of geometry.

    When it is exported as multiple files - the resulting proxies actually have faces counts and therefore useless for distribution !!! Why is this ?

    I have tried numerous methods but none work completely so, if anyone can suggest anything it would be much appreciated.

    thanks

    Ok, I have sorted it.

    When attaching the geometry in the edit poly modifier - the options to match material IDs etc where throwing me. The correct selection is;

    Match Material IDs to Selection and tick Condense Material and IDs.

    The rest is straight forward.

    Apologies and thanks.
