film gate for camera match

When using the vray physical camera on a camera match where the image was generated by a digital camera, how does one set the film gate? Should i asume that the film gate should be set at 35mm? I'm guessing each digital camera is different and there might be some conversion factor just like there is on the focal length. Any thoughts?

Yep - a lot of the cheaper dslrs have a 1.6 focal multiplier - thankfully dpreview.com has a huge camera database with all this info.
