  • Rendering Jewelery

    Hi,

When rendering the above objects which does set diamonds, will I need to turn on Caustics in order to get the diamonds to "sparkel" properly?

    Thanks

fair enough I thought there was a picture showing them above objects.

anyway, if by sparkling you mean dispersion, you may want to have a look at this thread:

don't forget to build nice studio setup for this. I did mine based on real one:

                studio setup

                Hi lukx

                Thanks for the great link!

Hope you don't mind me asking some questions on your setup.

Did you modeled a shape similar to that of the EZCube and what type of material did you then attached to it?...something along the line of a inner curtain perhaps?

Did you also placed your two side lights on the outside of this shape as per the real life example?

If you didn't follow the route of creating a "box" similar to the EZCube, how did you go about creating a soft light effect for the side lights.

Lastly did you experimanted with 18 led light setup?

                Thanks!!
