    Ambient Occlusion Transfer Mode?

    What is the best layer transfer mode for an ambient occlusion pass being applied in photoshop?

    I usually use multiply but set at ~45%.

      Hey buddy, you can use either multiply or overlay, overlay will give you more contrast.

        The other thing you can do is invert it and use it as a mask for a levels adjustment layer.
