How do I force my hdri to respect my safe frame? When I render, even with safe frame, the hdri background renders as if safemode isn't active.

As I understand safe frame is just way of outlining your render output size in the viewport.
But, I have noticed when viewing an hdri as the background in the viewport, what you see in the viewport in regards to the HDRI is not exactly what you get in the render.
I use the VrayPhisicalCamera and have thought that its the viewport viewing and the Vray camera that don't communicate correctly.
Or, maybe the environmental projection sphere that is used in the viewport is different to the render.

i think it is the spherical map that has the issues. The mirror ball seems to work fine. I think a spherical can be turned into a mirror ball.Bobby Parker

I don't know, but when I use a mirrored ball what I see in my safe from renders out. When I use a spherical map the safe frame is ignored.Bobby Parker

Can you post an example of what you're getting?www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.
