  • VrayIES scale and orientation

Is it me, or can you actually scale VrayIES and thus deform the distribution curve?

Also, i see that it considers the size of an IES, which standard max photometrics do not (you need to manually set the lenght for a linear one for example) but i'm puzzled by the orientation. With max lights you can rotate the web in any axis for any angle, which is very useful if you have many instanced lights.

Right now i have a wallwasher which is pointed at a wall, but it's rotated by 90 degrees, so instead of a very wide cone of light, it emmits a very narrow, focused one.

When i select more than one light i lose the "roll" parameter.

Not sure about IES lights.. but I know you can scale max lights to adjust the falloff.

I've been doing that for years with omni lights to get a more elliptcal falloff instead of a circular. So I would imagine it might work for IES lights also.
