  • 2d mapping-vray displacement

In the online help for 2d mapping for vray displacement it says under resolution..." If the texture map is a bitmap, it would be best to match this resolution to the size of the bitmap." What does this mean? If the texture map is 100 x70 pixels should the resolution be 7000? And what do i do with a map that is 14471 x 9601 pixels?

I'm not 100% sure but looking at it I assume it means resolution should match the pixels per inch of the bitmap - eg 600dpi or whatever it is you're image is.

If your bitmap is 100 x 70 pixels, then the resolution should be 100 (in general, the larger of the width and the height).
