  • Precalc Irradiance & LC with multiple cameras

If I have one scene with multiple walkthrough cameras, do I need to do the precalc (Irradiance map & Lightcache) separately for each camera, or can I just make one big precalc for every camera?

No moving objects, no animated lights etc... It's just walkthroughs of a simple static scene, but taken with about 5 camera angles.

If you haven't checked 'Use lightcache for glossy rays' then you could combine the irradiance maps into one big file using the Irradiance map viewer but I can't think of a good reason for doing this.

If you are rendering on a farm then each machine is going to have to pull one very large file across the network and then the computer is then going to store this in memory so it will render more slowly and have a greater chance of crashing if it runs out of memory.
