  • MoBlur Max / Vray bug?

    Hi all,
I am working on a simple animation, interior, IRR+LC, and I am using image mo blur, from max "effects", and it works only up to 640x480.
Higher res than that, I get this "unhandled exception: Applying render effects", where Vray also tells you that the error may not be caused by Vray...

What's happening? Any ideas? I would like to render at 720, but cannot....

    thank you

    regards

    Gio

The image motion blur render effect requires quite a lot of RAM; it may work to render to a .rpf file without the motion blur, and then use video post to apply just the motion blur effect.

    Best regards,

      Thank you Vlado,
any more specifics about using RPF for MO-BLUR in After Effects?
Once I extracted the RPF camera, and AE creates the camera layer, how do you make motion blur?

AE docs are basics at best, on the subject.

      thank you

      Regards

Well, my initial suggestion was to do this in 3ds Max using its Image motion blur Render Effect. Not sure how you would go about doing this AfterEffects - perhaps someone else would know.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

why not use vray 3d motion blur?

If you want to use 2d motion blur, you may use vray velocity render element, and composite in post packedge, using plugin such as reel smart motion blur.
