  • Is it possible to animate a VRay proxy after the fact?

    Hi all

Well the title says it. Can I animate a proxy after I already made it a proxy?
    Kind Regards,

What are you asking? Hopefully one of these covers your question:

    - As far as I know you can't apply modifiers to proxies.

    - You CAN animate a proxy (position, rotation, scale).

    - You can overwrite an existing proxy with an animated proxy that you've done later on.

yes I think that answers it. I wanted to bend and maybe add flex afterwards...

No, Max thinks it's bitmap not a model..hence the ram savings. There for you can not apply transforms. You can make animated proxies in SP2 though but saving your animated mesh out to an animated proxy.
