  • Which filter to use?

Does anyone have any recommendations on which filter and settings under Adaptive DMC would give me the effect of slightly blooming light sources while keeping details sharp? I'm trying to go for a romantic mood but nothing I've tried is really doing the trick.

You would be better off doing that in Post using a glow effect in Photoshop for instance.
Or even in Photoshop you could select the range you want, cut and paste it and then set it to overlay / opacity 20- 30 % with a Gaussian blur to get the same effect.
Burning it into the render limits your options.

        Do it in AE/combustion.

Even premiere or final cut might have something for this. What do you use to put your animations together?

I use Premiere Pro, I'll take a look to see if there is some kind of filter I could use. I was really hoping Vray could handle this since there are so many different filters available.
