  • Looking for benchwell style site for vray

    Hello all!

I was wondering if there is a site like http://www.benchwell.com/ for vray? I would like to test the speed of my pretty old setup against the current fastest one.

Ans I especialy want to compare my setup with a new dual i7 940 setup (when it comes out).

Hi ,first of all, I wanna say u have amazing showreel, nice job..

As for the Vray benchmark, I think Vlado says somewere here in forum, about making standalone live-bootable cd with vray benchmark. Hope gets alive soon.
    Best regards,
    Andrian

Thanks for the kind words Fekta.studio. A live bootable cd sounds a bit overkill imo. Just a heavy interesting maxfile with vray should be enough to.

If such a site doesn't exist then I might start one, I think it's a pretty objective way to compare setups when you're not allowed to install max and vray on a new setup without buying it first. I have this problem.

If the new intel i7 extreme cpu is not much faster then an i7 940 then am not buying the extreme one, after all it's a 500€ difference.

http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/ , Not too many benches yet but it's new.

and there's always http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...ad.php?t=36265 although it's getting a little past it's prime now.
        www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

No max 2008 64bit with vray sp2 benches there. I think we'll have to wait for vlado's file or boot cd (if that is what it's all about)
