        Hello,
I am testing it Vray Fur Styler for the first time. I am using max2009 with Vray 1.5 SP4a.
When I try to paint, I don't see the results in the viewport.
Is this normal or is something wrong?

        1. I put UVW map on source object. (I both tried box-mapping and planar mapping)
        2. U put Vraystyler on source object.
        3. On vrayfur object, I put vertex color map on Bend slot. I copy this map to Material Editor and make the map channel 2.
        4. 3. On vrayfur object, I put another vertex color map on InitalDirection slot. I copy this map to Material Editor and make the map channel 3.
        5. I select source object, click on paint and try to move the direction of fur in the viewport. But nothing moves or happen.
        What am I doing wrong?

You would need to instance the maps to the Material Editor, rather than copying them, before setting the map channels.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

Actually I instanced the maps and I intended to mean this. Sorry about the mistake.

So what could possibly be the reason that I can't make it work?

              Any idea?
Is there a compatiblity problem with SP4a?

How can I make this work?

The VRayFurStyler does not depend on V-Ray itself in any way.

My simple tests worked, but perhaps you are doing something different... if you like, I can attach a working scene here.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

                  Yes please and thank you
                  I am using max2009-64 bit.
With that scene, I can test if I can brush.
In all my experiments, everything seems to look fine until using the brush. When I start brushing, it has no effect on furs.

                  Thanks a lot.

                    Hi again Vlado,
Can you upload the file for me so I can test?
                    Thank you very much.

Thanks. Is it possible to make it for max2009 ?
