  • MultiLight function?

    Sorry if this has been asked already, I searched but didn't find anything about it.

    Is there a way to adjust lighting after a render like Maxwell's multilight feature?

    Thanks.

    Look for the V-Ray multilight script by Guillermo LLaguno here:

          Looks like he's just updated the script.
          Does anyone know if Vray or 3dsMax is likely to integrate a feature like this any time soon?
          Just wondering whether it's worth my while buying the script now or waiting for rc3 / 2010 ?

            I'm sure, sp3 won't have that feature. Maybe future vray with super-fast ppt it can be possible But it would be great to script vray rt to compute needed passes tho
            I just can't seem to trust myself
            So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

                    Well I purchased the script and played with it for a few minutes and my computer crashed. (Overheating problem not a max issue).

                    Now I can't get it to work again. I know zero about MaxScript. Would someone be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

                    I dragged the .mzp into the viewport and then added the G.Tool's MultiLight button to a toolbar.

                    When pressed it comes up with this error:
                    -- No ""+"" function for undefined

                    and opens the lister and has this:

                    macroScript MultiLight category: "--G.Tools--" toolTip: "MultiLight"
                    (
                    global MultiMain

                    if MultiMain == undefined or not MultiMain.open then
                    (
                    filein (GtoolsPath + "\Gtools_Multilight.mse")
                    )
                    )
                    -----------

                    I think a uninstall/reinstall of the script might work but I can't find all the stuff to remove.

                    Thanks

                      I think the file locations are specified in the TXT file in the zipfile the plugin is distributed with. There are instructions for manual uninstalling.

                        Yeah they are. I have gone to those locations but there is nothing there. I am stumped.

                          Copy the file

                          Gtools_path.ms

                          in this directory

                          C:\3dsMax2009\stdplugs\stdscripts
