  • Benchmark scene files added for SP3

Hello everyone. I recently added new scene files for the new SP3 release to my benchmark database project. You can find them here:

    3D Studio Max 2009 32 bit SP1
    http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/?page=3&scene=43

    3D Studio Max 2009 64 bit SP1
    http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/?page=3&scene=41

    3D Studio Max 9 SP2 32 bit
    http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/?page=3&scene=44

    3D Studio Max 9 SP2 64 bit
    http://www.3dspeedmachine.com/?page=3&scene=42

For those interested in benchmarking, I think this is a more efficient way of keeping track of results. Instead of having the results spread out over many pages of the forum, the site will organize everything neatly. Also, recent additions to the site allow users to easily make a complete workstation profile.
Once that is done, adding benchmarks is a breeze. So if you are new to the site or haven't been in awhile, please check it out. I'd really like to get some results from V-Ray users.

Note: I wasn't able to install V-Ray and test the scene on Max 2009 due to production conflicts at my studio. I was only able to save my Max 9 scene in 2009 format. There shouldn't be any issues with the 2009 scenes, but please let me know if you run across one.

    Much Thanks,
    Joe

Maybe collapse the meshes so no plugins other than vray are used before submitting?

              hello everyone,
sorry for the confusion. i did forget to collapse the mesh. i've updated the download file. it is based off a max 9 file since that's all i have access to at my office currently. those users on a newer version than max 9 will get a prompt saying that the file was created with an older version of max...that should not effect benchmarking since everyone is using the same file.

tracking down scene files for all these different apps is tough. tracking down scene files for multiple versions for the same app is even harder please bare with me and i hope you find the site useful.

i'd really like to see some intel i7 render times.

              @ nlo
did you check your spam folder for the confirmation email? if you still have issues please drop me a note at admin@3dspeedmachine.com
i'd like to get your render times in the database and i can add them myself if need be.

              much thanks
              -joe
