Do i understand it correctly that i activate that option in both LC and IRR, activate "dont render final image" and simply render frame 0. Once its done i load the maps and render out the whole animation?
So the full LC componant will still be rendered independantly on each of the computers, yes? But then when the IMap bit kicks in, it is rendered using all machines.
I rendered a single frame and time actually raised by 4 secs (small for a 6 minutes render)
I wouldnt use DR for a small preview, dont forget that vray has to shift all the scene data to all the slaves which can take some time. You will however notice a speed increase once you start a 4k render in high quality
I'm trying to render the IR pass using DR but slaves only help on first image.
I already calculated LC to a file and I'm now calculating IR pass (every 12 frames) using DR.
The slaves help in the first frame but for the rest they don't help at all.
It all seams to be working but salves don't get to the point when they actually process.
Maybe they don't have time because each frames begins to take less time to calculate but...since the scene is already loaded in the slaves it should be really fast...shouldn't it?
The Vray message scrolls inumerous "sending 571036 bytes of irradiance map to...." very fast and stops 5 or 6 seconds after. It seams fast enought.
Then vray log shows the followinf in the slaves (pasted text at the end of the post)
It's only when the workstation was finished the frame that the "server 192.168.0.2: starting frame 233" messages appear.
Frames range from 35 sec to 2 mins. 2 mins seams enough for slaves to start.
Is DR supposed to work in this situation?
Thanks
