    Hello
    I'm trying to control exclude/include type on vray light through script (Illumination,shadow casting or both).
    the syntex that works for regular lights is :
    light.inclExclType= 1 2 or 3
    What is the syntex for vraylights? and for photometric if anybody knows..

    You need V-Ray 1.5 SP3 for this; the syntax is the same as for regular 3ds Max lights.

      Does it have to be sp3? we still didn't upgrade it , in the middle of a tight deadline project..

      do you happen to know what is the syntax for photometric lights as well?

        This was only added in sp3, so you can't do that in earlier versions.

        For photometric lights, do you mean the standard 3ds Max ones? Not sure about those, but the respective properties should show up if you use the "showproperties" function on the light. If they don't, then the light does not support them.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
