  • Dark vray sky...

    Hi all,
sorry for the old topic, but I could not (quickly) find a thread on this...

I am setting up a simple daylight system, with vray sun, no skylight.
I have a Vraysky in the env. slot and vray env. slot (althought this one is probably not necessary).

I use MAX cameras, so I have to lover the vraysun to about 0.05.
The sky, when in automatic node, is very dark compared to the light level in the scene.

    Is there any quick fix?

I tried some color mapping, but I have not found the sweet spot yet...

    thank you

    regards

You dont need to do anything other than create a vray sun and the env map will be filled automatically.

Then you just adjust your sun multiplier down to 0.05 as you haev already.

Dont forget you need your sun at a fairly high z coord to have a brighter sky. Are you doing an interior or an exterior ? Any images so we can see..?
    Regards

    Steve
