  • Vray standalone

Whats the current state of play of this?
I'm tired of having to set up max workstations identically and having them crash regardless.

What is the pricing policy for transgrade, crossgrade or whatever you wanna call it.

V-Ray standalone is currently a part of V-Ray for Maya, although it will also be available separately. It will be available at the same time as V-Ray for Maya later this year.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Have you got a model or description of how the network setup will go?
For instance having master/slave with dr on a workstation, and the other computers parallel processing without max having to be loaded?
Will texturemaps be automatically linked without having to have them revealed through windows networking?
      Will it work on macs/windows/linux?

If there is a document that outlines the goals for the standalone version, I would be happy to read that.

I have C4d (but not vray for C4d) - will I be able to output stuff from that as well to a "vray.scene" file? Or will I have to buy a separate licence for every app I wish to use with vray?
