  • Vray render element with selected passes only!

    Hi there,

I'm using Vray 1.50 Sp2 with render element. Can anyone tell me how to just render the selected passes only without re-render the whole scene? For instance, I just want to render the Reflection, GI, diffuse, lighting and Zdept only. No matter how I tried, it will still rendered the whole scene with the selected passes or with just the exr alone. This mean I do double works there!

I downloaing the Vray 1.50 Sp3 now, don't know whether this will help?

Last, I need to ask all the experts,

    i) Do I still need to render with dirtmap or AO pass if I already have the Reflection, GI, diffuse, lighting passes?
ii) Do I need Velocity pass if my animation scene involved motion blur but without moving object?

Please help..... and thanks in advance!

You cannot render only the render elements, since the render element calculations are just side effects from the normal rendering.
