  • Granite Textures

Hello all I am at my witts end. I have purchased a few granite texture packs but I cant find any really good hi res tilable textures of certain types of granite. Does anyone know of any good libraries for purchase for high res tilable textures that you have found? Ive tried scanning the small samples that the interior designers always seem to hand over but with the scan on the high gloss samples the colour gets changed easy fix in photoshop but making a large image out of a 2"x4" sample does not look good in the renderings. Does anyone have any tips on this?

Any help or places to point me for better libraries for purchase would be greatly appreciated.

    kind Regards

    Ryan

You can actually make a pretty good procedural granite texture using multiple levels of noise with diminishing size in the diffuse slot.

It's worth doing a little pre-processing with imagesynth/pixplant. Open the texture you want to use, and apply a highpass at about 50-100 pixels to even out the lighting.
