  • Fog help

I'd like to know how to use fog a little better, especially in this particular case. I want to get some fog in the trees past the building. My attempts so far have not worked very well. I think I'll probably ended up using a z-depth pass instead, but if anybody has any ideas for how to get fog to do the same thing, I'd greatly appreciate it. Another actual problem is that I'm getting a weird diagonal line here in the middle....whats that all about?

Below are renders with and without the fog.

You'll have to increase the fog height a bit, right now it seems to be only around the ground.

Oh I didn't see the examples page...I'll study it up and see what I come up with.

        Thanks

Any idea what the stripe is being caused by though? I tried all the tips in the notes section, but didn't make it go away.

Ok, I think I've got the basic hang of it now. I am just using a gizmo box starting at the back. The examples page was a huge help. I think it will turn out pretty good when its all done.

I never did find out what was causing the stripe though..
