  • psd-manager & Vray Frame buffer

Hi it seems that psd manager gives out an empty psd file when using Vray frame buffer,
anyone know if ther is a way to make it work with vray frame buffer or do we have use the max buffer ?

yup, no Vray frame buffer if using PSD Manager. I found this also. But I only use PSD Manager to generate masks, so it doesnt effect the base render.

On a side note, does anyone know when or if the 2010 Max version has been released yet? It's kind of holding up my upgrade push at the moment.

      Thanks

I got this from Cebas on April 20:

We are working right now on the re-compiles. IN a few weeks we'll offer the recompile.

          From the psd-manager manual:
You should not enable the V-Ray Framebuffer when using psd-manager with V-Ray 1.5. This ensures that psd-manager can access the rendered image, render elements and the multi-layered G-Buffer.
The VRay-Framebuffer could be output by psd-manager, if special support for the VRay-Frabebuffer access were integrated. However, all the nice G-Buffer output options would still not be working, because the G-Buffer is only available in the 3ds max-Framebuffer. Both Framebuffer types are usually not available at the same time.

Poll: Would you still consider it usefull to be able to output the VRay render elements in Vray-Framebuffer mode even if it means the G-Buffer Output is not working in this case?

The psd-manager 3ds max 2010 version will be available in May (probably next week).

Yes, it would be useful still.
