*EDIT* - forget it, this seems to be specific to the VrayMetaball mesh. It's working okay with a different object. Sorry!

Still testing m-blur, this time without the physical camera and just using the camera rollout and a perspective window.
I'm trying to make more subtle m-blur and have tested frame rates from 0.0 (which I thought should be like turning m-blur off) up to a rate of 1. See jpg for tests at 0, .25, .5, and 1.0)
The streaking seems to move around but it does not really seem to shorten, which would be what I would expect. Reading in Franscesco's Vray book I saw tests at <1 but now I'm wondering if rates below 1 really make a difference to the amount of blur - it appears more to be position.
Can anyone clarify this, and help me to figure out how to make the blur more minimal - as if I was raising the shutter speed on a camera?
Thanks in advance.
