Light Meter & Lighting Analysis

Is there a way to use the max lighting analysis tools with vray or is it a mental ray only feature? Is there consideration in adding this as a vray feature?

You can use the Lighting analysis overlay feature with V-Ray (you have to use the 3ds Max frame buffer for this).

We cannot support the light meter as this was coded specifically for mental ray, so we'll have to code one for V-Ray separately.

I wish that Vray light meter will be better than Max default one..
like have non square light meters, to be able to grab a surface like in Ecotect..
Max lightMeter sucks on this, as they are only square, and I did a lot of weird shaped building lately
( I did wrote them 3 times on that, but did not get any answer.)
