  • Advice about buying RT in the UK

Is there any particular reason why I should buy VrayRT it in the UK and not the US?

I notice that its cheaper if I buy it in US $$.

    Trinity - $300 = £180
    BlueGFX - £226.36+vat total £260.32

Im kinda used to it.. But regarding other softwares (adobe/autodesk) you have to buy it from the country you reside in to be eligable for updates and support.

But that may not be the case with chaosgroup/Vray, and if I can buy from the States I will do.

Vlado, do you have a policy regarding this?

You will receive support and updates no matter where you get it from.

          Best regards,

trinitry3d just raised their price to 355$ for european customers...

so what do we do now? pose as americans in the order form?

european software dealer mafia strikes again...

Yeah, very upset about this, seems a very cheap move by them.

On the other hand, I might not have noticed it was there in the 1st place. But it seems pretty unfair that given theres no actual phisical product we should be penalised for it. I purchased loads of software from the States, and Iv always paid in $$.

                      Are there any other resellers?

Or is this just the policy of Chaos Group?

Jim from Trinity3d explained to me that chaos wouldn't let him to register my purchase at the price of 299$, because I'm european.
He offered me compensation for future purchases, because the pre-order form didn't state this.

I'm not going to fight for 56$, so i payed the additional amount, but I'd like some explanation from chaos, because right now, I feel a bit ripped of.

I know that this is often the case with other software too, like my antivirus fee costs more if I use an european registration address.
Still, I'd like to understand the reason for this.

As i said, next time, I pretend being american (with broken english)
