Envionment Fog and standard lights

My environment fog seems to be affected only by vray lights.

How can illuminate the fog with standard lights?

You can certainly do that - most of the examples here:

are rendered with standard lights. Not sure what is the problem in your particular scene though - it may be that the lights are too weak.
