  • Big render

I know I've seen threads on this before, but I can't seem to find them.

I need to do a render that's larger than my computer can handle. So I need to split the view up and assemble in Photoshop. There are scripts that can help me with this, right? Got a link?

    Thanks!

you can do that via backburner, splitting the image into strips.
either that or you can try rendering to vray image (or exr), unchecking render to memory frame buffer. vray won't create the vfb and this should save a lot of memory.
just go to the vray frame buffer pulldown, uncheck render to memory frame buffer and uncheck get resolution from max. then specify the correct resolution for your output. then go to the common render tab and tell max to render to a very small output size, this is important otherwise max will still take unnecessary memory.
