  • CPU at 50% en backburner

    Hello,

    i got 2 PC's, one dual quad core (vista64, manager and server running) and one dual dual-core (xp64, server running)
    when lauching a backburner rendering, i only got 50% CPU usage on the XP64 computer. Any ideas why ?
    On the Vista64, it's working at 100% !

    edit : i thought it could be the "number of passes", but even if i set it to 4 instead of 8, still the same problem...

    Try to set the following code in the MaxScript listener and see if it works:

    renderers.current.system_numThreads=0

      Hello Vlado,

      i tried, it didn't change anything. But it seems related to several scenes that are very heavy(2.5million polys). I tried with a smaller more basic scene, and it works well...
