  • Version .03d?

    Vlado,

Any idea when version "d" will be up?
Having some real deadline issues here.
Cant open the .03c file in older ver and the Vray light size problem
    is really killing me here.

    Will "d" address this?

Also the displacement mod is the stack crash deal, getting old.

    Which VRay light size problem?

As for the displacement crashes, they are fixed already, hopefully the new build will be up tonight...

If you email me at vlado@chaossw.com, I can give you access to an internal version of 1.09.03d so that you can see if it works for you.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Just saw your post about the area lights; I'll try to reproduce that here. Most likely you haven't updated all the plugins files properly.

Not sure how I could miss any but will double check.
ReRender is having the same problem apparently.

If I have more than 1 Vray light with another over 35-40 units is size I get unhandled exception errors.

Not sure if you need more than 5 lights in the scene or something like that but the tip from Rerender about keeping the lights small seemed to of taken care of it.

I will double check it all now.

          Updated again.

Earlier when I copied the files all was Ok.
Later, I tried to copy an older lidmm.dll and got a sharing violation (no max was not running)

Rebooted, came back copied the new one (from .03c) and it went in.

Made a light 40 units and it is not erroring out now.

So I guess that was it. The odd thing is I updated several times to make sure all went in. The only thing I can think is when I did the mass copy the libmm.dll was being skipped or something. But it is there for sure now.

            It's back.

Found a light that had invisible checked off, checked it on then whammo
            Unhandled excetpions

Now it just will not go away.

Then I'd strongly suggest getting the .03d build; .03c can crash for no apparent reason and the problem may not be in the lights at all. If you can't wait until we release it (I want to test it on WinNT first), then email me at vlado@chaossw.com

              Best regards,
