  • DR subtle differences between buckets

    Hi everyone,

I'm running a WinXP64 workstation and 3 XP64 render slaves on a DR job. Using Brute Force and Light Cache.

Everything was going great until suddenly the slave machines started returning buckets that looked a tiny bit different than what my workstation was rendering. It looks like there are a couple lights just being ignored.

The only thing I changed before this issue cropped up, that I can remember, was I added two spotlights. I don't usually use max's spotlights, but they worked for what I wanted. Is there a reason they wouldn't transfer to the slave systems?

    Thanks for any help.

Are you using any IES lights? If so it could be a path issue.

No, standard Max spotlights and Vray plane lights only.

I just noticed I had my default light turned on. >_< Turning it off seems to have solved the problem. I don't understand why though. Shouldn't that setting have been sent to the slaves too?
