Hi!
I'd like to use the "Vray Proxy" feature to insert a lot of trees into my scene.
Well.. I've yet merged each tree model into a project, they're 113 trees and it's quite difficult to manage (too many polygons); they are already placed correctly so what I'd like to do is to create a proxy object for each of them.
If I select one and I right mouse click-->V-ray mesh export with "Automatically create proxies" checked all seems to work correlcty, just 2 things that I don't understand:
1- each tree is so composed:
-Group Object (null object)
---mesh01 (trunk)
---mesh02 (branch)
---mesh03 (leaves)
once exported, into the scene I've the new vrayproxy object and also:
-Group Object
---mesh01
---mesh02
why does the original tree remains less then mesh03?
2- the new vrayproxy object is composed by all the 3 mesh objects, so till here all right, but all of them have just one material applied, in my case the mesh03 (leaves) material, while the other two mesh should have their own material.
how to solve it?
Thank you very much for any explanation.
Bye!
