  • g-buffer output in pictures ?

    ahoi to everyone!

right now i'm using vray1902u with max 5.1

i would like to output some g-buffer informations into some pics.

    i.e.: z-value
    object velocity

    how does this work?
which filetype do i have to take for these additional informations?

because i can't get it to work.

    please help me.

the main idea behind this is, that i would like to make some dof and velocity-blur with after effects in postproduction.

    any help is welcome.

    with thanks in advance

Just the *.RPF and *.RLA (RPF newer&better) can do this. If after effects supports all the rpf features, I donĀ“t know. The best for comositing rpf files would be combustion.

I'd just add that you'll certainly prefer rpf's Z channel because of the antialiasing option (Z coverage, more depth).
