  • Reflection Use interpolation HELP!

    hi goodday,
    currently Im doing a Arch Walkthru project. I use quite alot Interpolation reflection in the scene. Some of the objects surface with Interpolation material is flickering/ the samples is swimming on the surface

    any one have any Solution on this>???

      Do not use interpolation in animations.
      It will flicker etc.

      It's ok for stills. Doesn't look that good, but ok.

        Yep, it would be best to avoid using interpolation for animation, as there is no way to get consistent results from frame to frame.

          oo thanks for reply!..is there anywhere i can disable Globally all the interpolation? my scene quite alot using interpolation.

          so instead of interpolation now I have to increase alot on the subdivision amount?the render time gonna kill me

            With this, you can control materials globally.


            I know, render times will increase a lot, but quality will too.

                Actually not that much. Interpolation was a great thing ( before LC was introduced) .. but since you can use lightcache for glossies, the render time difference is not that bad. Did a couple test a few years ago.. don't exactly remember the numbers, but ain't that much of a difference.

                  O.o Use lightcache for glossies will increase the speed? umm must give it a try. cause usually i did in final render I off the 2nd bounce to none.
