  • Suggestions for good volumetrics plugin?

    I like the functionality of the afterburn plugin, but there are some issues using it with Vray, which I find difficult:

    * No GI-Involvement
    * Not working with higher light values (Vray sunlight system)
    * Partially horrible rendertimes (thin volumetrics ...)

    I know that pyrocluster is very well integrated with FR, and I kind of remember that you guys developed something yourself?

    Is there anything that you would suggest using with Vray?

    Thanks in advance,

    Peter

      Volumetrics + Vray

      I will see next week, what you can do with the new version ... with the 3a build we just had pretty heavy rendertimes with it, and making it work with particles seemed to be fairly hard.

      I like the basic approach to afterburn, especially being able to steer noise, size, density, etc by particle age, but when it comes to rendering the results can be quite unexpected.

      Anything else you could think of?
