  • Vray Fog with moving Camera

    I think this is not a bug but i don't know how to prevent this:

    When a camera moves through a gizmo with density mapped fog (clouds) the smaller clouds suddenly fade in if you get near them.

    It looks like the "level of detail" feature in game-engines.

    The noise and the box-gizmo are not animated, only the Physical-Camera.

    Does anyone know how to stop this?

    I think you need to increase the Max. steps parameter for the fog, so that it traces further into the volume.

      That fixed the fading effect:

      I have also lowered the stepsize.
      I think it caused this noise-like effect when moving towards the clouds:
