  • irradiance map-camera depend or not

Hi,If I have more than one camera in my scene,Can I only caculate irradiance map one time? Thanks

Yes and No, you can make an irradiance map that covers all your cameras, but you cant do it in one go, there are severeal different ways of doing this:

    1. Render a frame with each of your cameras with the irradiance map set to "Add To Current Map" and the "On render end" set "Dont delete"
After you have rendered with all your cameras, save your map and use that single irradiance map for all cameras.

    2. Make a new camera, Animate one frame at a time so it "warps" itself all over your scene (for example if it is a room, make it go in all corners, several different possitions in the middle and bottom and roof and along the walls.) Set the Camera mode to "Spherical" and override the field of view to 360. Render this camera with the same options as in suggestion #1 and you end up with a completely view independent irradiance map.

Needless to say a static irradiance map goes completely out of wack if any object or texture is animated so it is for pure static scenes only.
