  • VRayISO ?

    Hi
Does anyone still use Vray ISO? Is there a public version out there?
I get a UNHANDLED EXCEPTION when i try to render with the version below.

Any info on this would be gr8.
    Thanks

I sent a private message to Dimo but I have had no response.
I think it must be very busy.

    I would like to work with a 3dsmax 2009 x64 version.

You might be able to achieve something similar with the BerconMetaballs.

          Hey,

Yeah my metaball can produce something similar, depending on the situation where you need the effect. Here are some examples:

          http://www.niksula.cs.hut.fi/~jylila...taballs_29.jpg
          http://www.niksula.cs.hut.fi/~jylila...taballs_30.jpg
          http://www.niksula.cs.hut.fi/~jylila...taballs_32.jpg

If there form you are looking doesn't have to be exact, you can fill your geometry (volume or surface) with metaballs and you'll get something fairly similar to Dimo's ISO surface.

Basically instead of measuring distance to object's surface you'll be measuring distance to many particles sitting on that surface. And then in both cases you multiply (or subtract) the texture you want from this.

            Vlado,

Is there an SDK for the standalone?

Yes, the installations for V-Ray for Maya and the standalone both contain the relevant portions of the V-Ray SDK.

                hey Masterbercon

Does your tool works only with particles Because I tried with a simple box and nothing happened.

BTW your tools(pflow operators,3d shaders,...and of course your metaballs) are absolutely stunning.
