For the last 10-15 years, I've casually looked, on and off, at realtime rendering and VR. My thesis at uni was related to it.
I wondered if there is presently a 'good', easy to implement solution for navigating around a 3d building using texture baking through vray?
There have always been a number of options for viewing VRML worlds, but they are always quite complex to install (I am thinking from a clients point of view). If a 3d building could be viewed and walked around using flash or quicktime or acrobat reader, it would be ideal: something that doesn't involve very much/any extra programs.
The technology may well exist, and I wondered if somebody could point me in the direction of some good examples.
I want this to work for an absolute layperson with an average computer and an average graphics card. Is it possible? What is possible?
