  • elements are shown even if geometry frozen?

This can't be right, but it is happening in my current job.

I have a whole load of geometry frozen in Max, and I tell Max to hide frozen objects. I am rendering just the objects (proxy trees in this instance) that remain visible in the viewport. When I click render, the Vray framebuffer shows me what I expect in the RGB channel, but skipping down through the other chanels (reflection, specular etc), I see all the hidden geometry.

    Is this normal?
    Kind Regards,

It would be very odd; if an object is hidden, V-Ray will skip it completely during the rendering. Do you have a scene where this happens?

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
