  • sp4a installation

    Hi,

We are new to Vray so I installed sp4 on all our machines and licence server on our server.
All machines read the same shared plugin directory.

So, to update to vray sp4a, do I need to update each machine one by one ? Or can I just install it on one and then copy the new files to shared plugin folder ?
Also, do I need to update the licence server (it have only lic server installed, no max/vray) ?

    Thks

It's better to uninstall (keep in mind that vray installer will uninstall your previous version automatically). Hmm sharing the plugins.. never done that , is this actually working??
About the license server, upgrade it to SP4a. I had a lots of issues with SP4, randomly loosing license during rendering. Its fixed in SP4a though..

It should work fine with just copying the files too (make sure the plugin.ini file contains the path to the additional V-Ray plugins like VRayFur etc. too).

Yes, it is a good idea to update the license server as it had some issues.

      Best regards,
