  • Displacement Map -- Masking Off

Is there a way to mask off the displacement mapping in Vray.

I'm using a 3d displacment by way of a noise map. It looks fantastic, and renders quickly, however I'd love to isolate the noise map to only certain areas on the mesh.

    Is this possible?

I tried putting a mesh select below the displacment mod but vray ignored it.

        excellent. thanks.

Is there any good docs on the displacement mod anywhere -- such as info on the Precalc and Cache size, etc.?

I have tried same thing , but with fallof map in mask slot .
But its not working , same as I want to do A mountains , and assign Dreamscape 2.1 terrain map as a mask for my snow and rocks .
Its not displacing , but give me strange artifacts , like few polygons displaced , and not Micro Triangles Displacement .

So Fallof map works in mask for Blend Materials ?
I have tried towards-away for snow and rocks , and It dont works .
